The UHV women's soccer team is hoping to get back in the win column Saturday at 1 p.m. when it hosts Huston-Tillotson in a Red River Athletic Conference match.
The Jaguars (3-2-3, 1-1-1) enter Saturday's matchup after a 1-0 loss to Schreiner on Wednesday.
UHV will look to get its offense going against the Rams (0-6-0, 0-3-0).
The Jaguars have scored 13 goals this season, but have scored once over the last three matches with Andrea Aborqui's 61st minute goal against Texas A&M-Texarkana on Sept. 23.
Despite that, UHV ranks fourth in the RRAC with 18.7 shots per game and 131 total shots.
Kaydee Cox, a freshman forward, leads the Jaguars with 14 shots this season including a pair of goals. Cox, senior Estelle Flanagan (2) and sophomore Clara Strand (3) are the only Jaguars with multiple goals this season.
Huston-Tillotson has allowed the third most goals this season among RRAC schools with 24.
The Rams are coming off a 6-0 loss against LSU Shreveport on Saturday.
This will be the 13th meeting between UHV and Huston-Tillotson. The Jaguars hold a 9-2-1 advantage in the series, including a 4-0 win last year in which Flanagan and Strand each scored.
Saturday will also be Youth Soccer Appreciation Weekend (rescheduled from Sept. 16). All kids wearing either a UHV soccer camp shirt or their youth soccer jersey get in free with a paid adult ticket.
