Pate finishes in Top 10 as A&M-Victoria women’s golf wraps up season
HOBBS, New Mexico – Madeline Pate turned in a Top 10 finish for the Texas A&M University-Victoria women's golf team.
Pate finished sixth as the Jaguars wrapped up play in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament at Rockwind Community Links. The sophomore went 82-86—166 over the two rounds for her second Top 10 finish this season. Like her first round, the Cibolo native had only three holes worse than bogey.
Kaitlin Lopez made the biggest improvement for the Jaguars, improving seven strokes to finish 18th. The San Antonio native went 95-88—183 to wrap up her collegiate career.
Laney Glass also closed her collegiate career strong by shaving strokes in her final round of the tournament. The Victoria native went 97-94—161 to finish 24th.
Tindra Bergholtz and Miriam Ballart finished 25th and 26th, respectively. Ballart also improved two strokes in the final round.
The Jaguars finished fifth (409-405—814), wrapping up their season.
