Home runs by Raul Lopez and Kaden Fikac helped lift UHV to a series win over Huston-Tillotson on Saturday at Riverside Stadium after multiple rain delays.
The Jaguars won Game 2 of the doubleheader 15-9 following the delays, which totaled three hours and 33 minutes.
Fikac's second-inning, three-run home run put UHV up 8-0 after a five-run first inning where UHV (17-19, 11-7) scored all of its runs on bases-loaded walks.
The Victoria native finished the game 1-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
In the third inning, the Jaguars pushed their lead to 11-0 on RBI singles by Haldamel Perez and Jose Montanez, and a bases-loaded walk by Westley Schields.
Huston-Tilotson (9-22, 6-12) scored six runs in the fourth to pull within five runs.
Lopez's fifth home run of the year was a solo shot in the eighth inning. It followed a sacrifice fly by Zach Lee in the sixth inning.
UHV dropped the first game 5-3 despite a three-run fifth inning.
Levi Whitlock opened the scoring in the fifth with a two-run triple to score Cade Mitscherling and Westley Schields. Lopez drove him in with a ground out two batters later.
Julian Garcia was charged with the loss in 4.2 innings pitched.
Lopez finished the series 3-for-8 with two RBIs, extending his team lead to 30 on the season.
Hayden Leopold delivered from the leadoff position in the series, going 7-for-14 with a pair of RBIs and four runs scored.
The Jaguars will be back in action on April 7 when they open a three-game Red River Athletic Conference series with Jarvis Christian.
