The University of Houston-Victoria announced today its added games to the 2010 baseball schedule, bringing the total number of home games to 33 and the season schedule is at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics maximum of 55 games.

The first additional game takes place opening weekend. The game that was originally schedule for Saturday, January 30, at 1:00 p.m. has been changed to a doubleheader against the number 25 ranked Northwood University Knights.

The 3 game series against Concordia University, originally scheduled to be played in Austin has been shifted to Riverside Stadium with one game on Saturday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday, February 21 beginning at Noon.

The Jaguars will also play a home game on Thursday, February 25 against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

"This means more games and even more value for season ticket holders," UHV athletic director Ashley Walyuchow said. "In light of the economic downturn we have dropped season ticket prices for 2010."

The Jaguars open the season at Riverside Stadium with 5 home games scheduled for the weekend of January 29-31. Northwood University visits for doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, Southwestern University will close out the home stand starting at 2:00 p.m.

The final home games of the season take place April 16 and 17 against Wayland Baptist University.
