ALEXANDRIA, La. – University of Houston-Victoria goalkeeper Palemon Plancarte (JR/Houston, TX) is yet to give up a goal in Red River Athletic Conference play.

Plancarte recorded his third straight clean sheet on Saturday as the Jaguars edged past the LSU-Alexandria Generals 1-0 at Generals Field.

The Jaguars improve to 4-1 on the year and 3-0 in conference, while the Generals, who received voters in the latest NAIA coaches' poll, fall to 6-2-1 and 2-1 in the RRAC.

The Generals outshot the Jaguars 9-7, but Plancarte turned back all three shots LSUA had on goal, while the Jaguars made their lone first-half goal stand up.

Brian Foulger (SR/Leighton Buzzard, England) headed in the game-winner off a free kick from Reece Hannigan (SR/Sutton Surrey, England) in the 27th minute and that was all the Jaguars would need the rest of the way.

Foulger paced the Jaguars with three shots, all on goal, while Espen Hansen (JR/Kristiansand, Norway) add two and Steve Waldji and Brody Patience (SO/Douglas, Isle of Man) had one each.

Plancarte, who has surrendered just two goals in five games this season, also defended off six corner kicks by the Generals, along with a number of free kicks.

In other RRAC action on Saturday, Our Lady of the Lake edged Texas College 2-1 and LSU-Shreveport downed Houston St. Thomas 2-1, while Wiley College beat Paul Quinn 3-1 in non-conference play.

The Jaguars will face Paul Quinn on Thursday in their home opener. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
