Thirty-five University of Houston-Victoria student-athletes have been named to the Spring 2017 UHV President's Lis and Dean's List announced this week.

Eleven of the 35 student athletes earned recognition on the President's List, while all 35 were named to the Dean's List.

Earning recognition on the President's List from the School of Arts and Sciences were Luke Alexander (FR/Liberty Hill, TX), Emily Flores (FR/Houston, TX), Uriel Garcia (SO/Pharr, TX) and Chase Almendarez (JR/Round Rock, TX). Honored from the School of Business Administration were Collin Schaaf (JR/Needville, TX), Kaylee Creagh (FR/Mabank, TX), Brian Foulger (JR/Leighton Buzzard, England), Reece Hannigan (JR/Sutton Surrey, England), Jordan Hoefling (SO/Victoria, TX) and Jonathan Pitts (FR/Hemel Hempstead, UK), while Haley Beam (SR/Pearland, Texas) received recognition from the School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development.

Named to the Dean's List from the School of Arts and Sciences were Madeline Herrera (JR/Baytown, Texas), Michelle Revels (SO/Corpus Christi, TX), Treysi Diaz Deleon (JR/Dallas, TX), Kelly Cook (SO/Dripping Springs, TX), Tristan Hanks, Marissa Longoria (FR/Houston, TX), Savannah Crittenden (SR/LaPorte, TX), Ben Taylor (SR/Nottingham, England), Miguel Hernandez (FR/Round Rock, TX), Maya Ballez (SR/San Antonio, TX), Derek Maciejeski (FR/Tomball, TX), Yahajaira and Chase O'Brien (JR/Calgary, AB, Canada).

Selected to the Dean's List from the School of Business Administration were Stanley Smith (SR/Arlington, Tx), Cesar Martinez, Jaiden Lauterbach (SO/Fort Worth, TX), Shelbi Vincent (SR/Nederland, TX), Jordyn Olle (SO/Pleasanton, TX) (SO/Pleasanton), Ross Bludau (JR/Schulenburg, TX), Amy Burrows (SO/Glasgow, Scotland), Blake Henneke (FR/Victoria, TX), Brody Patience (FR/Douglas, Isle of Man) and Marcus Watt (SR/Montrose, Scotland).

Recognized on the Dean's List from the School of Education, Health Professions and Human Development was Caroline Carvajal (SR/Sugar Land, Tx).

Soccer led the way with 20student-athletes from the men's and women's program earning recognition, while baseball and softball each had seven and golf one.

The President's List honors undergraduates who earn a 4.0 grade-point average on all work completed during the spring semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, undergraduates must earn at least a 3.5 GPA.

The recognitions are awarded each fall and spring semester. A minimum of nine semester hours, excluding courses in which grades of "Satisfactory" were earned, is required. Any student who earns a grade of "Unsatisfactory," "Incomplete," D or F during the semester is excluded from consideration.
