Three University of Houston-Victoria athletes finished in the top three in their respective divisions at the 4^th annual Victoria City Championship golf tournament this past weekend.

Whitley Patterson, a junior transfer and first signee to the UHV women's golf program, won the women's division posting a three-day 235. Patterson, who attended McLennan College, carded rounds of 70-81-84 on the three local courses and breezed to a 23-shot victory.

Noreen Mohler, the U.S. captain for the 2010 Curtis Cup matches will be the guest speaker for the 2010 University of Houston-Victoria golf scholarship luncheon to be held September 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the UHV Multi-Purpose Room.
