The first UHV Jaguar Boys' and Girls' Summer Soccer Camp will be held in in Victoria, Aug. 2-6 at the VYSO Soccer Complex located at the Victoria Regional Airport.

Ryan Hastie of Nottingham, England, has become the first international signee for the University of Houston-Victoria men's soccer program.

Hastie will become a member of the Jaguars' inaugural soccer program that will begin play in August, after signing a letter of intent this week.

The University of Houston-Victoria's inaugural soccer season will kick off with an intra-squad game on Aug. 14 and an exhibition game against Lon Morris College at home on Aug. 21.

The Jaguars will showcase their talents to Victoria soccer fans with a Red & White game as the women will take to the field at 1 p.m., with the men's team matched up in a 3 p.m. contest on Aug. 14. The two teams then host Lon Morris in an exhibition on Aug. 21 with the women action getting underway at 2 p.m. and the men at 4 p.m.

The University of Houston-Victoria men's and women's soccer program signed their initial class of five local recruits on Thursday.

Tryouts for both the inaugural University of Houston-Victoria men's and women's soccer teams will be held May 29 and June 12 in Victoria at the St. Joseph-O'Connor Athletic Complex.
