The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the bracket and pool play matchups for the 2009 NAIA Softball National Championship, scheduled for May 14-20 in Decatur, Alabama.

Pool play at the 29th annual championship will run from May 14-16. Winners from each pool will move onto an eight-team double elimination bracket, played from May 18-20.
 
The 11th ranked University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars have been placed in Pool G along with #7 St. Gregory's University (Oklahoma), Savannah College of Art and Design (Georgia), and 24th ranked Saint Xavier University (Illinois).

The championship will be played at the Wilson Morgan Softball Complex. In all, 32 teams will come together in Decatur to play for the championship, as 25 squads received automatic bids and seven more made the tournament as at-large selections.

UHV will play its first pool game May 14 at 7:30 p.m. vs. St. Xavier. Game two against SCAD will be played May 15 at 3:00 p.m. The Jaguars' final pool game will be played on May 16 at 9:30 a.m. against St. Gregory's.
