Twenty-six University of Houston-Victoria athletes have been named to the UHV Fall 2011 Dean's List.

To qualify for the Dean's List,, undergraduates must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average. A minimum of nine semester hours, excluding courses in which grades of "Satisfactory" were earned, is required. Any student who earns a grade of "Unsatisfactory," "Incomplete," D or F during the semester is excluded from consideration.

Of the 26 student-athletes named to the Fall Dean's List, 14 were softball players, seven baseball players, and two each golfers and soccer players.

Softball players named to the Dean's List included, Kori Kocian (Hallettsville, School of Arts & Sciences, SAS), Bre'Neka O'Bryany (Huntsville, SAS), Kara Waukau and Jena West (Missouri City, SAS), Kayla Lindemann (Thorndale (SAS), Emily Bergstrom (El Campo, SAS), Ashley Shannon (Killeen, SAS), Isabella Soto (San Juan, SAS) and Alicia Fikac (Yoakum, SAS). Also, Ashley Winegeart (Corpus Christi, School of Business Administration, SBA), Tara Williams (Missouri City, SBA), Dawn Villegas (San Marcos, School of Education and Human Development, SEHD), Brittany Arredondo (Canyon Lake, SEHD), and Kelly King (Delta, B.C., Canada, SEHD).

Baseball players named to the dean's list were Brandon Bohanon (Houston, SAS), John Longoria (Spring, SAS), Tanner Hamilton (Tomball, SAS), Nathan Falkenstine (Houston, SBA), Juan Solis (Houston, SBA), Corbin Mitchell (Spring, SBA), Daniel Hoke (Sugar Land, SBA), and Brayden Blanton (Victoria, SBA).

Golfers making the list include Lyndie Smith (Highland Village, SAS) and Cory Anderson (Coppell, SEHD), while Tabitha Zella (Victoria, SAS) and Laura Caldwell (New Braunfels, SEHD) represented the soccer teams.
