BROWNSVILLE - Despite out shooting the UT-Brownsville Scorpions on Sunday, the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars' shots failed to find the back of the net allowing the Scorpions to escape with a 1-0 victory in the Jaguars' final regular season game.

The Jaguars managed to take 23 shots including seven on goal, but came up empty each time as UTB goalkeeper Michael Argumedo recorded seven saves and keep UHV at bay.

Meanwhile, UTB's Steve Howard connected on the game's lone goal with 10 minutes to play for the game winner. UTB took just 11 shots, including four on goal, with most coming in the second half. In the first half, the Jaguars outshot the Scorpions 10-5, including a 5-0 edge in shots on goal,

Adrian Mendoza and Oliver Robinson paced the Jaguars' offense as Mendoza took seven shots with three on goal, while Robinson added five shots with two on goal.
