Behind a stingy-defensive presence the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars snapped a two-game losing streak Sunday with a 2-0 with over the UT-Permian Basin Falcons.

Goalkeeper Nathan Kenyon collected seven saves for the Jaguars (10-3), while the UHV offensive punch tallied single goals in each half for the victory.

Adrian Mendoza (Houston) continued his assault on the goal tallying the Jaguars' first goal off an assist from Stiven Ospina (Victoria) just two minutes into the contest.

Some foot speed and fancy footwork from Cesar Martinez (Mexico) leads to an insurance goal late in the contest for the Jaguars. Martinez hustling down the left side fired a pass to Maurico Malagon (Houston), who found an open Ospina for the final goal in the 84th minute.

The Jaguars return to action on Oct. 11 when they face Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio in a 3 p.m. match.
