Univesity of Houston-Victoria's Zane Williams and Tasha Rotramel are the NAIA's Association of Independent Institutions Male and Female Athletes of the Week, for the week ending March 23, 2009. 

Zane Williams, a senior rightfielder from Devil's Pocket, Texas, is the A.I.I. Male Athlete of the Week based on his 14 hit performance over six games this past week. Williams finished the week with a .560 batting average, and hit his second grand slam of the season vs. Fisher College on March 19. The Jaugars senior finished the week with 20 RBI over six games, and leads his team with 45 RBI.

Tasha Rotramel, a junior pitcher from Lake Jackson, Texas, pitched consecutive no-hitters for the University of Houston-Victoria, making history for the Jaguars by pitching the first ever no-hitter in school history on March 19, in a 6-0 victory over Dana College. She then followed up that performance with a no-hitter against Texas College, and finished the week with 22 strikeouts over two games.
