Junior Morgan DeSive was named the University of Houston-Victoria women's golf Player of the Year on Thursday during the first UHV athletic awards banquet held at Schroeder Hall.

Other golf award winners included Devon Dueser, Freshman of the Year; and Lyndie Smith, Champion of Character.
