Emily Flores (FR/Houston, TX) continued her hot hitting and Aubri Hockenbury (SR/Santa Fe, TX) moved a step closer to tying the UHV single-season home run mark on Saturday as the University of Houston Victoria Jaguars completed a series sweep of the Jarvis Christian Lady Bulldogs with a pair of wins.

Flores went 5-for-6 at the plate and Hockenbury hit her 13th home run of the season as the Jaguars captured a 7-2 win in the opening game Saturday and a 9-1 victory in the nightcap that was called in the sixth inning due to the run rule.

The Jaguars improved to 28-14 on the year and 19-5 on the season, while Jarvis Christian fell to 6-32, 2-18 in the RRAC.

While Flores went 3-for-3 with a pair of runs, it was Hockenbury who highlighted a big four-run third inning with a two-run home run. Hockenbury's home run leaves her two short of the UHV single-season record of 15 set by Marley Moehrig in 2013.

Michelle Revels (SO/Corpus Christi, TX) started the big third inning with a double down the left-field line. Haley Beam (SR/Pearland, Texas) singled her home and Hockenbury followed with her to left-center. Flores followed with a single, stole second and raced home on a two-out throwing error on a ground ball by Torey Dumont (SO/Pleasanton, TX) for a 5-0 lead.

The Jaguars jumped out in to a 1-0 lead in the second when Flores walked to open the inning, stole second and race home on a two-out RBI single by Dumont.

The Jaguars would add solo runs in the fifth and six on an RBI singles by Revels and Marissa Longoria (FR/Houston, TX).

Beam breezed through the first five innings before the Lady Bulldogs struck for their only runs of the game in the sixth.

After giving up a two-out single in the second, Beam retired the next 10 batters she faced before Rashell Cooper slashed a triple to left leading to a two-run inning.

Beam went the distance to improve to 11-3 on the year as she allowed two runs on five hits and one walk, while striking out one.

The Jaguars had another three-run fourth inning to highlight Game 2 that finished on a bases-loaded walk off sacrifice fly to deep center by Kathryn Wright (SR/Lindale, TX).

Hockenbury put the Jaguars up 1-0 in the first with and RBI single before the third inning uprising.

Revels opened the inning with a single, while Beam followed with a walk, before Hockenbury struck again with another single that scored Revels. Flores then singled to left scoring Beam and Wright plated Hockenbury and Flores with the Jaguars' fourth single of the inning.

Revels would double home a run in the fourth, before the Lady Bulldogs broke through in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 6-1.

The Jaguars struck back and had a chance to finish off the game in the fifth but came up short.

Hockenbury and Flores each singled to open the inning and Wright drew a walk to load the bases. Kelsey Tridrick then pushed Hockenbury home on a fielder's choice that retired Flores at third.

Dumont followed with a single to left-center scoring Jordyn Olle (SO/Pleasanton) who was pinch-running for Wright. But that would be all the Jaguars mustered in the fifth.

The Jaguars wouldn't let the chance slip way in the sixth as Beam reached on a one-out error and moved to second on a single by Hockenbury. Flores would walk to load the bases before Wright's sacrifice fly would end the game.

Revels earned the win pitching four scoreless innings allowing three hits and no walks, while striking out two. Tidrick would toss the final two innings allowing one run on three hits and no walks, while striking out one.

The Jaguars return to action Thursday in Farmers Branch where they will face No. 1-ranked Oklahoma City in a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
