The University of Houston-Victoria soccer program will be holding two different soccer camps this summer in Victoria during the months of June and July.
Camps are scheduled for June 5-9 and July 17-21 at the UHV soccer field and will include two sessions both dates. Session times are from 9 a.m. to noon and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The camps are opened to boys and girls, ages 4-17.
"The camps are designed to meet the demands of player development in a positive, creative and fun learning environment," UHV head soccer coach Adrian Rigby said.
Campers will be taught fundamental skills and advanced-level technical training to further develop and challenge their skill level. Campers will be instructed in proper technique in passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting and heading, as well as providing them with age-appropriate tactical knowledge using small-sided games. Campers are grouped based on age, playing ability and experience.
Camp staff will be comprised of qualified and energetic college, high school and club coaches from elite programs across the nation, and will include current and former college players from within the region under the direction of Rigby.
Cost is $130 for early registration for either session if you register 10 days prior to the camp start date, or $140 for late registration. Cost to register for both sessions is $180 early or $190 for late registration.
All campers will receive a camp T-shirt and soccer ball. Campers are to bring soccer shoes, shin guards, water and sunscreen with them to the camp.
