In mostly a defensive battle, the Generals got their big break in the 51st minute when the Jaguars were whistle for a foul inside the penalty box. LSUA's Macarena Errazuriz then fired a shot into the right corner of the net past the Jaguars diving goalkeeper Bianca Galindo (JR/Houston, TX).
Both teams managed just two shots on goal with LSUA edging out the Jaguars 5-4 in shots. Emily Lupton (JR/Preston, England) had two shots for the Jaguars, while Amber Zola (SO/Sugar Land, TX) and Caroline Carvajal (SR/Sugar Land, Tx) each had one.
The Jaguars had an opportunity to tie the game late but Emily Lupton's header off a corner kick from Valeria Hinojosa (SO/Bedford, TX) sailed just wide of the net. The Generals also fended off a shot from Carvajal in the first half.
It was the second straight year for the Jaguars to host a RRAC quarterfinal game.
