The UHV Jaguars outslugged Lambuth University to win back to back conference titles.  In a rematch of last year's championship match up, the Jaguars topped Lambuth 17-13.

John Longoria homered and was one of 5 Jaguars who drove in at least two runs as he went 3 for 6 with 4 RBIs.  Ryan Gilbert, David Baker, Jose Quintanilla, Anthony Phillips and Joey Briones each drove in a pair of runs to pace the Jaguars. 
 
Austin Kent scored 4 times and was named the tournament's most outstanding player. Kent batted .500 and led the tournament with 3 home runs.
 
Bobby Gomez picked up the win.
 
With the win the Jaguars advance to the opening round of the NAIA baseball national championship at a site still to be determined.
