UHV Jaguars continue their run to back to back conference championships with a 5-2 win over the Louisiana State University-Alexandria Generals.

Broc Haymon pitched 7 strong innings, scattering 5 hits and striking out 6 Generals batters, but didn't get the win.  Casey Newman earned the win in relief as the Jags exploded for 4 runs in the bottom of the eighth.  The rally was ignited when Austin Kent led off the inning with a solo home run to tie the game.  It's was Kent's second home run of the tournament.

Firstbaseman Josh Bromberg went 2 for 3 with an RBI.  Catcher Jose Qunitanilla also drove in a run.   Pete Ontiveros struck out 2 batters in a scoreless ninth to pick up the save.

The Jaguars play Thomas University this morning at 11.
