The University of Houston-Victoria Jagaurs improved to 13-4 on the season after splitting a  doubleheader with Texas Southern University in action at Burdge Field.

The Tigers took game one 3-1, scoring 2 in the sixth to break a 1-1 deadlock.  First, Gianna Robinson hit a solo home run over the right field fence to put the Tigers up 2-1 and Tenesha Skrine scored following an error to score the final run. Tigers pitchers combined to limit the Jaguars to 3 hits.

Game two was a different story as the Jaguars smashed 8 hits in the 8-0 win, which was called in the sixth inning due to the run-rule.  Tasha Rotramel gave up just two hits and struck out 7 to improve to 6-2 on the season.  Allison Hinton led the offense with 3 RBIs.

The Jaguars will travel this weekend to play in the Orange Beach Classic.
