Lead off hitter Izzy Glowney drove in 6 of the Jaguars 11 total runs to lead UHV to a doubleheader sweep of the Our Lady of the Lake University Saints.

Glowney went 2 for 3 in game one and drove in 2 of the Jaguars 5 runs to pace UHV to a 5-2 win over the Saints.  Glowney led off game two with a solo home run and drove in 3 others in lifting the Jaguars to a 6-2 win and the sweep.  Glowney finished the day 5 for 8 with 6 RBIs and collected 1 double and 1 home run among her 5 hits.

Araceli Galindo had a triple and two RBIs in game one to compliment a solid pitching performance from Emily Bergstrom.  Bergstrom scattered 8 hits and struck out six to improve her record to two wins and no losses.  Bergstrom's earned run average jumped up to 0.58 on the season.

In game two, Baylea Wagener and Tasha Rotramel combined on a three hitter as the Jags won 6-2.  Wagener (3-0) tossed 4 innings to pick up the win.  Tasha Rotramel struck out 6 in three innings and limited the Saints to a lonely single in the seventh inning to earn her second save of the year.

Right Fielder Kori Kocian was 2 for 3 with a run scored in the game two victory.

The Saints kept both games close with solid pitching and took the lead briefly in game two after scoring twice in the fourth inning.  But the Jaguars scored four times in the bottom half of the fourth to retake the lead for good.

UHV took advantage of two Maria Flores errors in the 6th to score two runs and increase their lead to 4 runs.  The Saints loaded the bases off two Rotramel walks and a single by Yoakum native Ariel Mochacek to push the tying run to the plate, but Rotramel struck out Kaitlyn Bourg to end the game.

The Jaguars improve to 9-2 on the season and will travel to Prairie View A and M and Houston Baptist for games this weekend.
